No Frontiers - The Art of Ding YanYong

I think Mr Ding is not the follower of "Henri Matisse". His art merged the concepts and attribute of freedom with flexibility, together with the spirit of "Fauvism". For the development of "Chinese Painting", his openness attempt changed our mind and perception in the creation of Chinese Art, and exhibited the profundity of painting.

My Mona Lisa

This is a very expressive exhibition, it's not only an international competition to let the artists express their imaginations on the painting of Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece "Mona Lisa". But to encourage them to present the personal creativity and ideas with the civilization of their own place. It was an crossover of different life.

In the exhibition, visitors can catch the social attribute and cultural characteristic of different Asian. And the most meaningful are the artifacts are created by people with disabilities. I think it's a great chance to let people know "Art" is no limit and no prejudice.

I especially like the work of the overall winner, the Japanese artist, Hirano Shinji. From his work, I realized the features of Japan's civilization, and from the perspective of colors usage, also depicted the spirit of "mysterious".

The Hong Kong winner is Poon Tsz Chai, a 13 year-old child. I was very appreciate her practice of painting techniques, she used mixed media, included acrylic, glass paint and plastic board to compose her work. But behind the fruitful of visuals, I was depressed by her selections of the glamour icons, it entirely showed the "Materialize" of Hong Kong life...
