Miao Xianochun Exhibition, Osage Kwun Tong

Miao Xianochun's works hidden message of contemporary life and humanity. In his work, Microcosm - 3D computer animation, we are not difficult to find every visual element also symbolize the threats of life. People are interweave in the sphere of "Paradise", "Earth" and "Hell", nobody can evade from the fate.

Superficially, we can control our life, property, money etc. In fact, we are totally menaced and harm by the overloaded media, technologies, consuming pattern. Most of us were lost, no ability to realize what is acceptable and noxious.

The visual representation of Miao's works showed not only the "desirable" robot, also revealed the helpless of each person.

Hong Kong Young Fashion Designer Contest 2009

As a fashion participant, one of the important event in Hong Kong is visiting the exhibition of Hong Kong Fashion Week. This year the show was continued. For me, the most exciting program was the catwalk show of "Hong Kong Young Fashion Designer Contest". Behind the show, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council also made a mini fashion exhibition to introduce the talent and their works.

This time, I found most of the designs also used the concepts of "Zen", I think it's quite interesting phenomenon in the design field, it may because of the influence of oriental culture or the trend of China.

Fotanian: Fotan Artists Open Studios 2009

For watching exhibition, I have a very "bad" habit. Yes I do not like to read the artist's statement and caption before seeing the "artworks", this is because I would like to "feel" and "imagine" their create motivation.

Even though the "Fotanian" exhibition already launched several years, I'm still the first time to visit there. It may because the location is not so convenience.

But the "first" impression is not bad. I like the experience of adventure, and during the wandering process, also got so much unexpected messages. And the most interesting findings are came from the visual representation, themes and categorization of the artworks...
